Pre Season Schedule Update - 6th March

With less than 2 months to go before the 2016 society season tees off, many type 1 members have already begun their quests for seasonal glory. With the temperatures beginning to rise and the days starting to lengthen it seems timely to formally announce the 2016 pre-season schedule.

This schedule currently consists of the following;

6th March 2016 - The Mop's 30th Hungover Blast

The venue for the round is currently unconfirmed. Chilworth Golf Centre is a local and reasonable option but if the weather is pleasant it is likely that we will head to one of the many fine South Coast courses, such as Wickham.

This will offer some a perfect opportunity to dust off the bats for the first time this year. Others will be honing their short games and looking to avoid and reputation damaging #gates. TK bookmakers will be closely monitoring the action in order to establish their title odds for the upcoming season.

All society members should consider themselves invited to the pre tournament dinner on the eve of the event. This dinner will consist of beer and creams. Please contact Mop for any further details.

Whilst no society points are on offer, competitiors may well jump at the chance to earn an event win. You only need to ask Arsenal fans about the importance of winning meaningless pre-season tournaments. Those attending will be looking to gain an edge over their rivals as the society moves towards Tim's shambles of a season opener in April.
