R2HF Leader Anticipates Tough Battle in Final Stretch

As the current Race to Holly Fry leader, I’m entering in to the final stretch of the season with a cocktail of emotions ranging from excitement, nervousness, trepidation and pride.
Having just taken in the FedEx Cup finale, it reiterated to me that anything’s possible at the end of the season but my hunger to get my hands on the Race to Holly Fry trophy and become the first man to do it twice, couldn’t be stronger.
The Matchplay final was significantly denting as my participation in day 2 of the Season Finale is and always has been unlikely. However, my strategy is to have a strong day 1 and open up enough of a lead that my closest rivals can’t catch.
In terms of my nearest rivals, knowing The Oxfordshire like I do, the open layout might play well in to Churcher’s hands. I’m sure he’ll find his ball on adjacent fairways as he normally does and make his PAR. Whether the long yardage will suit Tommy and his samurai game though, I’m less certain. If he can put his Matchplay sulks to one side though, he could be the dark horse who creeps up on the inside.
I’m looking forward to a good 2 days of golf, socialising and relaxing and in my capacity as Chair, I look forward to seeing you all there to cap off another excellent society season for all.
Yours,
Sloth
2014 Race to Holly Fry winner
