Chairs Welcome

I am delighted to be appointed Chairman for the 2021 season.

The last 8 months has resulted in unprecedented challenge to the country and in turn the golf society.

Despite the pandemic the society has continued to flourish and we have welcomed new members, visited new courses and approached the game in the spirit it was intended.

I would like to thank Liam Hope for his successful 6-year tenure, without his leadership the society wouldn’t be what it is today. I fully support him in his endeavours to focus on family life in his next 5-year plan and hope to see him working on those wrists in the winter months.

As the reigning Race to Holly Fry champion I am looking forward to taking a back seat from the honours board this year and focusing on the game I love to hate. Personally, I have enjoyed another great year of golf and take great pride in the society we have collectively established.

We have an exciting fixture card for 2021 and I would encourage your to support each tournament director in delivering a successful event.

This year I am supported by an esteemed committee and together we look forward to seeing you up and down the country, in all weathers but always with a smile.
